POMPEY POP

Skifflin’ Sixties

I know, it was the fifties

But you may remember that during Pompey’s recent 60+ Festival I ran a beginners skiffle workshop in the room next to the Guildhall’s AAA Exhibition. Nigel even bought his guitar – but never got away from working on the show.

Well it was great fun and the participants asked to do more, so the plan is to meet once a month on a Tuesday morning, same venue. I’ve no idea where it might lead or how long it might last but in case anyone else is interested the first one is at 10am on Tuesday 13 January

Here’s one of the songs we played last time – one of the best of British skiffle.
