Here’s a 1970s American band that were somewhat better than the Tubes (and a mighty few others)

It came up after looking for the clip below and I love it dearly

  1. I like Ry Cooder – he always brings memories of Paris, Texas. Love the style.

  2. O.K, I know they were a 90’s band…… but Little Village were a bit tasty too – Ry Cooder, , John Hiatt, Jim Keltner and Nick Lowe. Wow!

  3. Fair comment Dave but I think maybe I should have said most entertaining live band rather than best!
With me it’s always about the adrenalin rush and not necessarily the musical virtuosity!

  4. Well, just for you Mr Greedy… a clip from a show in 2004, a week after I promoted The Tubes show at South Parade Pier on their “Wild West Show” tour – where you there? Or at the one I did the following year? Great show!!!!!!!!!

  5. …with the magnificent Prairie Prince on drums too!!!!!!!!

  6. Thanks J R…………….I was about to post something from those brilliant Tubes last night , but I put it off until today , and bingo…Panto time………..and indeed those drums do the business !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Wow. I think i remember, but it’s all getting very hazy… Was that man in Silver Jimmy Saville? 🙂
