Annoying Quiz Question

You guys were crap on the last one (Joe Jackson & Dan Dare) but I don’t give up easily.

I’ve spent the afternoon listening to Scott Walker albums. I’m very fond of them

Here he is and my question is: What’s the Link Between This Song and Pompey Pop?

  1. Not bad Mr Mook – definitely a half mark for that although not what I was thinking … HINT: it’s more to do with the song than this specific artist

  2. Didn’t ‘regret’ the No Show at the Opening Night of the Birdcage?

  3. Well the song was written by Tom Rush of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA.

  4. Brilliant Malc – you got it!

And well done Mr Mook, a very game contestant

  5. Nice one Dave. We had this on our set list at Sinah Warren for a while but dropped it as it was not really a tempo you could dance to. (Unless of course you had some affliction)

  6. Someone on Facebook just said that dancing was happy movement to music. I said that was just fidgeting. So maybe people could have just fidgeted a bit!!

  7. Well done Malcolm !! I thought I am a geek when it comes to looking up originals, composers, etc..
I’ve only just got in after seeing Chris Farlowe at the Cellars ( like a Birdcage reunion !) but if I’d seen the original post I think I’d have gone along jimmythemook’s line of thought regarding the ‘Cage opening night failure to show by the Walker Bros. Still, we did have Jimmy Saville !!!

    • Thanks Oscar, funnily enough the first thing that came to mind was our blog masters comment a while ago when he stated that he had “no regrets” didn’t believe in them apart from not learning to play guitar well.
