Paul Emery (Shazam)

Paul Emery

I spent a delightful lunchtime at the Guildhall yesterday with Paul Emery who back in the 1970s was drumming with Shazam and also with a band called Freefall (of which more later). He’d just flown in from snowbound Boston USA, having moved stateside about 35 years ago. These days he plays bass guitar in a band.

He was here to visit his mum who’s been poorly and he’s off again on Thursday but it was good to meet up. The photo is with the Oasis/Parlour poster as that’s one of the places he recalled playing back then. There’s also footage of Paul and Shazam playing in Pompey at this address

(This link didn’t work for me but I found this extract on Youtube:

Have a good trip Paul
