So My Resident Astrologer and I took an early train to Brighton, did the seafront and a bit of shopping, lunch at Jamie’s and then back to Pompey and off to the Square Tower for the Mayfly Show. We saw and particularly enjoyed a three-piece bluegrass band ‘Wood Wire & Words’ and an 18-year-old singer/guitarist Joe Houghton-Gisby with a wonderful voice way beyond his years. In the third picture you might just spot a ‘Pompey Pop’ personality taking in a bit of poetry.

And to make it perfect, the morning sunshine turned to a quick shower early evening!

  1. The May flies may fly along Southsea shore
And we all meet good friends again
A cheerful song or two or three
That couldn’t be spoilt by rain

  2. Blimey Mr C, that’s a bit good! You must have been inspired.

  3. I do have my moments, not very often these days it’s true, but, now all we want is some clever chap, or chapess to put it to music!? I won’t hold my breath!
