Rain Stopped Play

Ref the sunset photo below, it’s the old Pompey saying

“Red sky at night, tomorrow will be shite”

Apparently they put the race times forward today then abandoned everything including the huge site. A bit like that Blues Festival on the Common 20 + years ago

I can’t actually claim I took this today – I’ve only been to the ‘paper shop. This was Friday

A bit of a sad weekend, still at least Ben and his mates have a big shed to shelter in!

  1. And what an eyesore that “shed” is. Totally the wrong place for a structure like that IMHO. Be better over Cowes way I would have thought. Sad about the weather though.

  2. And I am scratching my head trying to place where that photograph was taken.

  3. It’s alongside the moat running from the Square Tower to the Funfair Pete – Southsea in the distance.

  4. Okay Thanks Dave Ive got my bearings now

  5. Red sky at night, your boat’s alight…
