Is this the greatest ever teen anthem?

Sent by ‘Oscar’ who says “Spot the serial killer”

(I don’t think he means Chuck)

  1. Nice geetar! Not a black face in sight (apart from the man himself) – Chuck played for the whities (….that’s where the dosh was, and he always had that uppermost in his mind). He always asked for the money up front before doing the gig!

His guitar playing was really the easiest to copy, to get you started.

  2. Never forgotten seeing him do the ‘duckwalk’ at Southampton Gaumont cinema now Mayflower in 1965

  3. called ‘beech nut’ show as yes indeed ,sponsorship by chewing gum company……………I know i used to find fluffy bits of our uk version in my jacket pockets on a regular basis……………..is it still out there ???? http://www.mcrfb.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Dick-Clark-Saturday-Night-Beech-Nut-Show-sponsor.jpg
Great piece of script from the youthful Dick Clark………WOW indeed ..!!! amazing what Mr Berry gave us really…
I would suggest that the audience came straight from a serial killers convention…..there’s loads of probables….

  4. It was that brutal looking guy about half way back on the right. When the camera panned left there was a woman looking in his direction with a seriously worried look on her face !
