Graham Laker (thanks) alerted me to the above named 30 minute programme about harmonica playing (Radio 4 yesterday). It’s very nice too …

  1. Presented by my old mate Amy Wadge, who started out playing the R.M.A. Tavern for me in 2001 and later many spots at the Southsea Folk & Roots Festivals. She featured Dave Bronze on bass on many of these gigs – including the first of many at The RM.A. Dave Bronze was with Dr Feelgood, Procul Harum, and in Eric Claptons’s band for many years. and was the bass player throughout for the “Concert For George” (Harrison) in Nov. 2002. The night that was televised we watched it in The R.M.A. with Dave – Steve Pennick came out with the classic “Is this live?”. Dave was standing next to him at he time… The last gig Amy did for me was the very last Southsea Folk & Roots Festival, in September 2014 when attendance was abysmal. That night, disgusted at the apathetic response from the so called music lovers of Pompey. I decided that I couldn’t go on losing money and called it a day -no more festivals.
Amy went on to co-write the million seller “Thinking Out Loud” with Ed Sheeran and was awarded with a Grammy for the achievement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZskE7mQpfY
