I’d forgotten

Geoff’s archive includes some set lists from the early days of Harlem Speakeasy because Geoff & Martin worked with the band in developing their light show before we took off around the country. Here’s one, and there we are, kicking off straight into one of the less well-known songs by Curtis Mayfield & the Impressions – I had completely forgotten about playing that one.

Here’s the original. I suspect it’s the better version!

  1. That’s quite an impressive set list ! I hope it sounded as good as it looked !!!

    • I’d love a Time Machine! I’ve really no idea what we sounded like. I never quite figured Summertime Blues, although the “Rock Medley” did start and finish with “Last Night” which was ok.

  2. i think this list was from just before i joined, cant remember the month, i remember playing some songs on the list but what happened to no.s 7 and 17 .. ?

    • Hah! Dunno. Definitely before you joined Alan, this was at the end of the ‘local group’ days, just after we recorded the single (no. 14) but a few weeks before its release.
