  1. I have had word direct from Mr Eisner that the Pompey squad want to call round and train on my new lawn, they can’t beleive how good it looks, and they want to know where I got my weed killer, but I’m not telling them!

  2. and there’s a lot of out of work pro managers available, but I expect ‘The American’ to rope Cookie back in with an extended contract and/or more money.
Were you watching England just make it yesterday? Thay have a great big beautiful ‘lawn’ there, don’t they?

    • Only on TV – handily the finish just about coincided with half-time in the Cup Final; both cracking cracking entertainment. Indeed it is a big beautiful lawn! I remember seeing it when we first got it – a manky old sloping farmer’s field, with one horse!
