A recent, new music blue plaque, north of the island

Mick reports:

“The story goes that Jimmy was in Southampton and had to get to Brighton, he drove but a thick fog came down eventually he found a place to stop it was the Harbour Lights Paulsgrove, and he then wrote the song Harbour Lights”.

He’s also spotted this at the ‘Bird In Hand’ on the Fareham Road – a couple of famous bands seem to be coming soon! (Or is that just fresh garbage?)

  1. Juicy Lucy could well be right – but definitely not Spirit (or the one you’re thinking about!). Robin Bibi plays the Bird I n Hand fairly regularly. The Worried Men are a pretty good band on the blues circuit too…
