Over this weekend in 1967, the Wrong Direction (below) were playing locally at a gig where the entrance was 4/11d and a halfpenny plus a sweet:

The Wrong Direction 4

Elsewhere, Shame and Sons of Man were on the Beat Cruise, the local Evening News had a front page photo of George Harrison and Patti on its front page, visiting San Francisco, the Pink Floyd released their first album Piper at the Gates of Dawn and the Small Faces “Itchycoo Park”.

On Saturday night, Jimmy James & the Vagabonds visited the Birdcage for the last time. If you’ve read Autumn of Love, you’ll know that I was dossing on west country beaches by now, so missed it.
